Dr. Jane Gordon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and the Africana Studies Institute. As President of the Caribbean Philosophical Association (CPA), she organized and hosted the Inaugural CPA Summer School for advanced undergraduates, graduate students and faculty in 2015. This year, CPA’s Annual Conference and Summer School took place at UConn from June 12 – 18, 2016. The conference was titled “Shifting the Geography of Reason XIII: Theorizing from Small Places.”

A prolific author, Dr. Gordon has written on a range of topics including modern and contemporary political theory, Africana political thought, theories of enslavement, political theories of education, methodologies in the social sciences, and political theory in film and literature.
